"My attention to detail, neatness on the job and customer service skills were better suited for the electrical service."
Born and raised in Scranton, my family moved to the Lancaster area when I was 11. I attended Cocalico High School, Associated Builders & Contractors (ABC), and obtained my Journeyman’s card in August of 2006.
I currently live in Reinholds with my wife Nicole and 3 year old daughter Elizabeth. We enjoy family time together like making pizzas, going to the park, and playing in the snow. I love to go camping, even in January! We are going to attempt our first camping trip with Elizabeth in the spring.
I have been with Keares for almost 4 years. I started in the electrical construction end of the spectrum but found that my attention to detail, neatness on the job, and customer service skills were better suited for the electrical service. The service jobs are very diverse and problem solving skills are necessary.
I find EnerNoc installations to be the most interesting service call. EnerNoc is a demand response company that helps prevent blackouts for energy producers such as PJM. EnerNoc solicits large companies (Johnson & Johnson, Johns Hopkins, etc.) to intall ESS boxes. When PJM calls a potential blackout event, these companies reduce the amount of electrical usage by shutting down part of their company. The reduction in electric prevents a blackout and PJM pays EnerNoc and the company money for conserving energy. It is a win, win, win situation for PJM, EnerNoc, the company and you.
